Heat crept over Riley's cheeks. "I'm sorry," he murmured. This was his fault. He'd put the thought in Bastian's head. Bastian had managed to keep hold of something human for over a year now, and in one morning, Riley had ruined it. Tainted it with thoughts of his blood instead of the pig's. "What should we do?"

Bastian laughed, the sound hollow and unpleasant. "I don't know," he admitted. "I keep thinking if I drink more of the animal blood, this wil go away."

Riley licked his lips and inched closer to Bastian on the couch. He didn't think that would actually solve the problem. The hunger would be there whenever Bastian woke up, when they made love, when they cuddled together to watch a movie. It was there, and they couldn't ignore it anymore. "It'll come back," he whispered.

"You'll nuzzle my throat or kiss my wrist, and it'll come back."

"Every single time," Bastian groaned softly, eyeing Riley's slow advances. "I've gone through a few bottles of blood from my mini-fridge in the other room, but just you walking in. ." Bastian shook his head. "I acted like an asshole, but it wasn't you. I've thought about it all day, and I've made up my mind."

Riley's heart leaped into his throat, and he stilled on the couch, just within Bastian's reach. Had things gotten so out of control for Bastian that he was going to leave? Panic sent a shiver down his spine, and he choked out, "About what?"

A muscle in Bastian's jaw twitched, and he watched Bastian's tongue dart out to wet his lips. "Is your offer still open? The offer you made in the kitchen the other morning?"

Bastian was going to do it. Bastian was going to drink from him. It had been something Riley's mind had turned to more and more the longer they were together. When Bastian would nip and suck at his throat as they fucked, the thought would appear vibrant and tempting in his mind. Would it hurt? Would it be amazing, like in books and movies? Would Bastian be able to control himself? Would it all go to hell in one moment, Bastian feeding until there was nothing left?

Riley took a deep breath and looked into Bastian's eyes. Need. He saw raw need in them, and fear. So much fear. It was fear he felt himself. Slowly, Riley nodded. "Yes," he breathed, and the word hung between them for a moment, as loud as thunder.

Bastian sighed, his entire body shifting with the controlled exhale. "You've gotta promise me something.

Promise me you won't let me go too far. I don't have super strength or anything, so you'd better fucking hit me or something if I get out of control."

Riley cracked the smallest of smiles. Hit Bastian? The thought would have been laughable if Bastian weren't so serious about it. "I promise," he said, reaching over to brush his fingers over Bastian's cheek. The tension shuddered out of Bastian's shoulders at his touch. Bastian caught his hand
